Day 1                   Sunday

*We will have our driver pick you up at the airport to take you to your private studio apartmet for your week's stay at Buena Fortuna.

Depending on your arrival time this is a flex day.

After greeting, we'll give you some time to freshen up before cocktails in the Sky Lounge of our home. This is a great opportunity to unwind and for all of us to get to know each other better.

Then relax into your king sized bed for a refreshing nights sleep.

Day 2                 Monday

Your day starts with fresh pastries from the French Pastry House and quiet time listening to the birdies while sipping coffee in our Tree of Life Garden.

Energized, we'll head out on a 3 hour tour of the communities covering from West Ajijic to past Chapala.

During this trip we will stop for lunch. Afterwards we will stroll the Chapala malecon until our appointment with a local U.S. doctor for a 1 hour consultation about medical care options and expenses in Mexico. We'll return late in the afternoon and the rest of the afternoon is free to do as you please.

Dinner is at Cocinart in central Ajijic followed by cocktails back at the casa in the sky lounge.

Day 3                 Tuesday

Today we start with fresh homemade pancakes and fruit. Then it's off to the Tuesday organic market where you can buy ready prepared foods for dinner and enjoy the many organic products available. Lunch is poolside at Eves Restaurant followed by an appointment with an immigration lawyer. Afterwards we'll take a stroll on the Ajijic Malecon and you'll have a chance to do some shopping in the village of Ajijic. Returning mid afternoon you'll have some free time to enjoy as you please. Dinner is in your room with the prepared meals purchased at the Tuesday market and free time for yourselves in the evening.

Day 4           Wednesday

Today we start with breakfast at Cafe Negro followed by the Ajijic Farmers Market. The biggest and best market in Ajijic! After lunch we'll speak with a insurance specialist about all your insurance needs and questions.

Following this we'll take you back to Casa Buena Fortuna where we will start looking for rentals for you as well as speak with a rental agent. By late afternoon you are once again free to do as you please followed by dinner and dancing at Manix Restaurant.

 

Day 5               Thursday

After a luxury breakfast delivered to your room we'll set out again to explore areas west of Ajijic covering Ajijic to Jocotepec. Lunch will be in a Mexican setting in the plaza of Jocotepec. In the afternoon we will stop and speak with an international moving company representative and look at housing options to buy.

Dinner is at the Mexican Restaurant Teocintle followed by cocktails at Casa Buena Fortuna.

Day 6                     Friday

We start your day off right with a hearty breakfast at Casa de Waffle. This is your day to look at houses Lakeside in areas that appeal to you.

After a full day of looking at homes you'll have some free time to relax before heading to Adalita's Restaurant for dinner and dancing.

 

  Day 7                Saturday

Your final full day is YOUR day to do as you like. We are here to help in any way possible to make your final day one to remember.

Airport transportation will be provided for your return flight on Sunday or as required.

*Please note that this is only a sample itinerary. You may wish to talk with one or two different professionals, spend a day viewing assisted care facilities, relax in the evenings instead of going dancing, attend special events, parades, concerts, etc.

Lake Chapala Retirement Seminar

With our seminar you personally speak to an immigration lawyer, banker, moving company, insurance agent, rental agent, and real estate agent. Professionals that provide you with accurate information pertinent just to to. If you would like to connect with other professionals such as dentists, cardiologists, tax professionals, etc then please let us know ahead of time.

 

Immigration:

Speak about visas, costs and how to obtain. Legal issues such as Mexican wills. Bringing your car down. Temporary Import Permits. Buying a car.

 

Banking:

We take you to speak with a representative of Intercam Bank to explore ways of handling your money in Mexico and to answer individual financial questions.

 

Mover

A representative from a local moving company will meet with you and discuss how to move your belongings to Mexico. This will include what you can and cannot bring, getting your belongings through customs and the cost of the move.

 

Doctor

You'll speak with a doctor about your own personal health issues, available health care, hospitals and services including costs. We can also arrange for you to see a dentist and an Emergency Evacuation Specialist.

 

Insurance Broker

Discuss with a broker all your personal needs regarding Car, Household and medical insurance from Bellon Insurace brokers

 

Rental Agent

You will speak with a rental agent regarding Information on rental properties, leases, etc. Time can be made for you to view some rental properties with the agent.

 

Real Estate Agent

You will spend one day looking at real estate with a Real estate agent to discuss the pros and cons of buying real estate and view the many different options available.
